Prepare for Sound Advice Chapter 4 Listening Test!

Work on your blogs. Please give a short introduction for every song and or video that you put on your blog. Tell why you chose the item and other information that is personally interesting to you about it. :)

Work on choosing your videos for your student led discussion groups! I think you are going to do a great job!

Movie - Answer the true and false questions and fill in the blanks of the script with words that you think might fit. :)

Make sure you have some kind of visual aid. It could be:
  • a simple drawing on the newsprint paper that I gave you in class today, or
  • a power point - The projector is working now. :)

Be sure to practice what you are going to say! 2 minutes minimum, 3 minutes maximum :)

Vocabulary and Phrases (small book) Self Test tomorrow!
  • Memorize the meaning of the word.
  • Memorize a sentence that shows how to use the word.

Side by Side Chapter 4 - Embedded Questions

  • Review the vocabulary and grammar on Pages 51 - 55
  • Remember the grammar for the "be" verb is different from the grammar for other verbs when asking embedded questions.
  • Write dialogues for #2, 4, 5, 7 and 10 on a piece of paper to hand in to Gail.
  • #10 you will need to create your own dialogue!
  • Be sure to use a variety of ways to ask for information. (See bottom of page 55.)

Listening Lab Exercises are due tomorrow, also!

Welcome to Speaking, Listening, Grammar Level 3 Spring Quarter 2007!

I am glad that you have signed up for this class. We will be participating in as many authentic listening and speaking tasks as we can so that you can make the most improvement that you can!

Please check this blog every day after 6 pm so that you can be sure to have your homework assignments completed. All students must have their homework completed before they come to class. This blog will help you do that.
